Our Hospitality and Catering Event (27th April 2017)

After weeks of planning, yesterday we held our Hospitality and Catering event and it was a resounding success. As part of their controlled assessment pupils have to cater for and serve at an event of their choice for approximately 12-15 customers. But, we had to go one better and we catered for all school staff and parents of the pupils taking the exam.

The group chose to do a Taster Menu of British Foods. The pupils worked brilliantly together, remaining calm and well organised throughout the day and produced a fantastic event.  Feedback was excellent and well deserved; the wonderful comments included:

“The menu and service throughout was attentive and professional.”

“All the food was lovely and the table looked really nice.”

“True inspiration to British foods and very well researched.”

“The atmosphere was welcoming and I totally enjoyed the occasion.”

“The presentation was superb and the food delicious.”

“A cup of tea out of a china cup and saucer tasted divine and so British.”

“The boys worked really hard to set such a high standard and this made the evening such a success for visitors to enjoy.”

“Well done for the outstanding display and great food made by the year 11 pupils.”

As you can see by the photographs a brilliant evening was had by all. We are all looking forward to the next event to show off our pupil’s skills, talents and knowledge in the World of Food.

A big thank you to all the staff involved in helping this event to be such a success. Special thanks to the amazing team in Hospitality and Catering for the continued and forever helpful support. Well done!
